Carnival in Tenerife (Santa Cruz)

The Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife holds, along with the Carnival of Cadiz, the utmost consideration for parties granting the ministry with responsibility for tourism in Spain. Thousands of people take to the streets every year for more than a week. It was declared a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest, by the Secretariat of State for Tourism and is one of the most important carnivals of the World. It is also the only party that holds that distinction canary.
