Vigo: Manuel Coia (1990)

Hío born sculptor in 1933, currently residing in Nerga where he has his home and workshop. He began his training at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vigo and later won a scholarship to study at the Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid.

The human figure is the main actor in the work of Manuel Coia. His work evolves towards simplification of form. A continuous seductively sinuous rhythm in both wood and stone.

We can see his work in Cangas and Vigo. Stone sculptures in the gardens of Quiñones de León and wood inside the museum and the museum Verbum Quiñones.
