Contest Galician Tesoira new fashion designers 2005
Ten novice designers showed their proposed spring-summer edition of the competition in design Caixanova Tesoira in Theater. The ten finalists were selected by the jury from the 59 proposals submitted to this contest, whose purpose is "to provide an opportunity for young artists to present their work and to showcase to working life."
The ten finalists are from the provinces of Pontevedra (6), Ourense (2) and A Coruña (2) and presented at the Teatro Caixanova how they conceive fashion. The top three winners will receive cash prizes plus 6,000, 3,000 and 1,500 euros, plus a $ 3,000 bag so they can complete their training with one of the designers Galicians.
Don Quixote, the theater, the garage, the world of Peter Pan, Africa or the world of the fairies are some of the themes that have inspired the ten finalists, some of which are repeated in the contest of young artists. .
Silvia Gonzalez, a 25-year Pontevedra who collected the award, worth 6,000 euros, and a training grant from the hands of vice-the Xunta, Anxo Quintana.
Alba La Coruña Vázquez de las Heras, 23, won the second prize of the contest - worth 3,000 euros and a training grant, with the collection "O Terceiro lance", inspired by the play of Castelao.Meanwhile, the third prize - 1,500 euros went to Lorena Rodriguez, a 25-year Ourense tested in his collection, "Experimental", with new formulas to break the traditional pattern making and sewing.
The award for best model was for Victoria Estevez forefront of O Rosal, who presented a collection called "In branco". She created a very urban menswear collection with clear allusions to Don Quixote.
